It's been a fun summer..Giants win 3-1 in game 161

I liked the way Kruk and Kuip opened up the story today. Giants playing out the last two games of the season and already know that they will happy flight across the USA. It will be either St. Louis or Pittsburgh to play a one game winner take all to move on to the next round. Today was all about playing good ball and having loads of fun and San Francisco does it better than anyone else all summer long.

Today was for the kids on the Giants and the kids in the stands because once you enter a baseball park everyone becomes a kid for the day. Alabama 22 did it again throwing 5 innings giving up 1 ER on 4 hits , striking out 3. He is fine tuned and ready to roll for a possible matchup next Friday night in Washington.

The Giants offense got a run in the 1st inning as Belt reached out and lined a double into the right field corner scoring Duffy from 1st base. Padres tied it in the 5th on a sac fly and it stayed that way until the bottom of the 8th as Crawford singled to right to score Duffy and Belt to take a 3-1 lead they would hold onto and score the W. Brown and Duffy each had two hits and boy it was fun to see Brown bust his behind down the line to beat out a infield hit.

Affeldt , Strickland who earned his first win in his young career, and Casilla pitched great today in relief.

It was Crawford though who had that key hit to win the game and I still see that little kid who was back at the 'Stick watching his favorite team almost leave SF back in the day ,as his picture made the Sporting Green. Today he had a smile on his face and that's what all us kids do at a ballpark...smile.

I wish I had even the slightest clue as to why Brown never got a chance to play (basically) before today. If I even had an inkling, I may be able to anticipate the roster. As it is, I don't know what to make if his 2 hits.
