Had a closed door talk with them a few days ago and let them know I needed them to finish 9:1 for me to win Sports/SportsHoopla prediction. Seems to have inspired the team. WadeJr committed to a multidinger game, gotta appreciate the guy

BTW assuming no blow up by the bully today, I need 6:1 to close out the season.

I feel very optimistic about this entire staff. Let's say they bring back Snelk.

That's 16 deep with quality.

While I understand your sentiment I also have to say its's not exactly correct. If you look back at YOUR OWN posts, you were one of the first to say that pitching was changing. It was now the time of an opener and a host of follow up pitching. You were one of the first to talk about the perils of the 'third time' through the order. You were also correct! The pitching dynamic has changed a lot during the past few years. It will never look like what it was in 2010. That's 14 years removed. The concept of an 'opener' didn't really exist then.

Pitching is still the key ... but the 'structure' of a team's pitching corps has changed quite a bit and I think it's still evolving.

On another note .... although Doval's troubles have been quite troublesome ..... without them .... we never have realized Walker's potential .... and I still have hope that Doval can recover his form from a year ago.

Need to see if other teams will bite on Luciano and Matos. Package them with a legit pitching prospect (Whisenhunt?) and get some win now help from a bad team
