For all of his faults, HnR is a place I would actually like to have Sandoval up. Didn't he hit a double off a ball that bounced in front of the plate once?

No doubt he used to be able to hit just about anything. In my mind, you need someone who can reliably put the ball in play on a HnR. panda is no long reliable in that regard. I guess Noggin had to try something. But with no speed on the bases and panda at the plate, well, it didn't work.

And the worst hitting team in the NL is getting worser by the game. If the shutout is complete, they will have 16 runs in the last 10 games, and three by shutout.

I guess I'd rather see this now than next spring. I don't want to root for us to lose (we've been doing that fine without my help), but I don't want to end the season winning a bunch of games, which makes the FO think, "Oh, just a tweak here or there and we're back in the mix." This team needs far more than a tweak or two.
