aaaannnnd on cue, Anderpoop drops trou...

leadoff HBP, SB, single.

First and third, no outs. I'd be overjoyed if this inning ended in a tie.

But it wasn't a loss. Just a poor performance by the starting pitcher.
Tzill gonna tzill. I wish he wasn't such a soft fan on game days

Now THAT was a great FYWW performance

I know. I have not yet converted to 2020 Giants expectations.

Still...Anderpoop was poopy.

It was a tight FYWW performance. Especially Selman.

Nonetheless, point taken. I hope they show me up several more times this year.

Wait, check that...I hope for less #weaklink moundshattery so that won't be necessary.

Did he start doing that after Susac was traded?

No he's been this way since we got here. Wildly inflated expectations of what pitchers bring, giving up on the game early, etc.

He's a very astute and reasonable fan in general but in game threads he very often goes full retard Debbie Downer.

7 innings scoreless holding them in place for a comeback. Give me that "tightness" every time.

I don't remember that (at least thinking back to the ESPN days). I remember him more as the guy who would argue, along with another poster who's name is escaping me at the moment (I think there was a "gp" in that handle), with a lot of advanced metrics and look down on the peons who came in throwing around batting averages and home run numbers (and pitcher wins). I sometimes wondered if the two were the same posters but tried to stay away from accusing anyone of being the same. I don't remember a whole lot of the "starting pitcher crapped on mound so I'm out" posts in those days.

GP was awesome. I miss that guy. He and Hammer got into it I guess and he was out.

Yeah, I'm not rational on gameday. Especially when it concerns SPs.

IIRC, GP left at the time Hammer bought the site, and he did attribute Hammer’s taking over as the catalyst, but that he had basically been looking for an excuse for a while anyway. He did peak his head up for a single post about 2 years or so after he left.

as for some of the others others...

Heath “retired” because he and his wife moved to SLO and opened their own business and he just didn’t have the time to include us in his life anymore. I got this through IRL convo’s I had with him after he disappeared.

Colin forgot his password so he logged in with an alt to try to get it worked out. I THINK Hammer booted him due to the no-alt rule and that was that for him. I seem to remember Colin also saying he was happy to move on as well.

SFGiantsFan got into a pissing contest with Hammer on a different board (still here on sportshoopla, though) and got the heave ho. IMHO, he went too far, but he was egged on by Hammer and some other admins and they abused their power by booting him. I objected to the whole situation on the super-secret mod-board, and I found that I could no longer see the mod-board the next day.
