Hey a win! Changing it up with the lineup and no game thread.

Cueto looked great, outside of one inning where the Cardinals swing at the first pitch every time and tacked on 2 runs.

9.0 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 R, 1 BB, 7 K

Posey 4-5 and looked powerful, swinging with authority.

Pence 2-run homer in the 1st.

Nunez 3-4

Span 2-3

4 GB of LA, 1 game up on Mets, 2 up on Cardinals.

Plus how about some great defense especially that Crawford play in the 9th, Nunez made some nice picks, etc.

Boy we needed a game like this.

So much fun, finally, watching a Giants game. All levels, pitching, hitting. defense, clutch hitting, etc.

Actually even more...a playoff game. This series is like a playoff series and we sometimes step up in the moment...

Nice timely hitting (though the 3-14 with RISP isn't great).

Pre-ASB, we had 134 2-out RBI's (1.49/game)

Post-ASB we have 70 2-out RBI's (0.97/game)

What a pleasure watching Cueto when he dominates....got the last 17 batters out in a row, by the 9th he looked like he could go 5 more innings of perfect ball. All the different windups, just a great show of pitching

Bum has been great, no doubt. But it's all about grit and intimidation with him. Not that it's a bad thing. With Timmeh and Jonno it's the hair, the smiles, the funkiness, the energy. It's refreshing, especially since Bum has been the only SP where we'd get the opportunity to have "fun" the last 2+ years lol.

105 pitches too!!! Bum seems to have lost his efficiency somewhere along the line.

So I just saw Crawfords great play in the 9th.

Even more impressive was Cueto's AWESOME shimmy on that pitch. Totally messed with Molina's timing enough that he had to start his entire warm up mid-delivery. Definitely something of beauty.
