As bad as our offense has been this season, the Royals are in a royal funk right now. They have gone 42 consecutive scoreless innings over the last five games, with one more inning to go tonight, down 12-0 in the 9th. And only one hit tonight! Ouch!

edit- 43 innings now, and four consecutive shutouts. And the Royals were pushing into the Wild Card race.

Sadly this game was one we were expecting to happen a lot this year: Crawford and Panik delivering at the plate. Shark a good pitcher, etc.

The fall was phenomenally bad. We all expected difficulties, but not this early and this fast.
