I think it is a good thing so far. It pretty much assures that the "stars" will play in both games

I think it sucks. I understood it last year when the season had to be compressed and the rosters were stretched. The players also didn’t have proper time to prep for the season. Now? No excuses. Play 9 inning games. As bad as the runner on 2nd rule is, this one might be worse.

With how many pitchers take up rosters nowadays, a 9 inning doubleheader shouldn't be an issue. You call up a pitcher or two and option them afterwards.

Or, better yet, maybe teams should have more pitchers that can go multiple innings.

Hello my friend! You know I can't answer a simple question with just one word so here I go:

MLB should be played the way it was invented to be played with:

8 1/2 full innings or more if needed
NO designated hitters since it takes so much strategy out of the game
NO ghost runners on base in extra innings

I get it on MLB trying to speed up the game rather than watching paint dry so I would offer this:

Limited time between pitches
Limited number of times that a batter can step out of the batter's box between pitches
I mean these players should should do all of their nut scratching in the dugout between innings

I hope you are doing well!

You're getting the correct vaccine my friend. I got my second Pfizer shot on March 1st and I had no problem with either one of them except for a little arm soreness for about a day and a half each. Stay well!

I forgot the 'pretty tired' part after the shots but that's normal.

Major league baseball games are supposed to be 9 innings.

That sums up my feelings on it.
I agree with you but if teams played 2 nine inning games every time there was a double header we would see less big stars playing in the second game of the double header and that’s not what fans paid for. And you would see more players on the disabled list if they played 2 nine inning games for double headers. And no league or fans wants to see a lot of players on the injured list

This is where MLB managers earn their money. They have a complete roster to put whoever they want to put in their starting lineup but every game in MLB should be 8 1/2 innings or more.

I'm usually a stickler for baseball tradition but I'm ok with this one. I'd probably be more in favor of eliminating double headers all together.
As much as I love the game, there is nothing that I find appealing about sitting through the second game. Neither in person, or on TV.
