BC hitting a couple spots lower then normal. Tauchman hitting behind him won’t help.

Looks like Cueto Bueno today....I remember that guy.
I Phuking jinxed it. Meatball right over the plate, punished as it should be. Down 0-1.

This one has yesterdays feel — never going to lead.

Really hope we get some of our offensive bats back as we enter LA for a four game set.

Seems like we are only scoring via a HR. Still don't understand why he pinch hit for Ruff. Would have left him in and pinch hit for Toc instead

Kapler is generally doing a good job with this team (look at that record!) but this is one area that drives me crazy. Way too many pinch hitters per game and, too often, it feels, he pulls the guy whose performed well and leaves the guys who haven't done much.
And Tauchman . . . how much longer. Kapler was raving about his batting practice swings and how confident he is just before getting activated. I don't get the love.

That 3rd strike call on Arenado in the 8th was a nice gift from the umpire. A little inside but we, and Jackson, will take it.

So how did Dick not tag up on that DEEP fly to RF? The RF was even running away from the infield when he caught it.

Dick should have taking a 1/3 lead (still can easily score if it falls, and should still be able to tag up if it is caught, given the fielders motion). The 90 ft didn’t end up making a difference since (Solano?) flew out next, but if Dick had advanced, it would have put the tying run at 3rd, and would have added momentum (as little as it would have been, granted) to the Giants. As it was, the DEEP fly was nothing more than an ineffective out.

this team has no idea what they are doing on the base paths this year. It has cost the team in the past. Not sure if that is Wotus’ responsibility or if one of the other coaches is responsible for base running, but that is establishing itself as a potential issue with this team.
