:lm:

Belt has hit like dogmeat at #3, so let's put him there.

Pence has been awful at #5, let's put him there.

:arg: has been decent at #2, so let's bat him 8th.

And GorKys anywhere but off the bench?!?

Who created this lineup? The Magic 8 Ball?

Looks like Cueto just nuked his trade value. 4 innings, 6 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs to the "mighty" Padres.

And the Giants offense gets two runs in the first two innings, and then promptly takes a nap. :L

And one whole walk in five innings.

"Second verse, same as the first!" Sing along!

Cardiac inning, but Dyson was totally dinked and dunked that inning. Hard to blame him too badly.

That said, he was still wild af. He is a very appropriate Giants closer.

Right after the ASB last year the Giants came to SD and got swept. That's when the wheels came off.

Be nice to sweep those fuckers now, just because.

If we're gonna compete next year and not go all shitty for 3-4 years, this year still matters. No playoffs, but we need to see what we have, what we can build on. The trade deadline will be important too. Don't be so sure we don't keep Cueto either, they may feel this is a down year for him but shit so many other guys (cough Crawford cough) are having down years and they aren't going anywhere. And Belt is quietly being very good with the bat so don't expect him to go either

They have some work to do but I do not think teardown Astros/Cubs/now White Sox style is the right call.

The White Sox will win a championship within the next 5 years. Maybe closer to 3 years.

After reading the play by play it looks like Dyson was doing his best Wilson impersonation.

From your mouth to god's ears, but I think 4-5 is more likely. They do seem to now have the best farm in baseball, and they aren't done yet. Likely dealing Robertson, Frazier, and Cabrera for even more prospects.

I think I read recently that the Sox have 9 of the top 100 prospects in baseball? That's insane!
