Need to Know: 5 burning Redskins questions on defense | Rich Tandler's Real Redskins

1) No i think 5-6
2) no one season of 13-15 sacks wont get you to elite status in my book (he will have a good year )
3) yes , i think the injuries are history
4)yes , by year 3 he could push some pro bowls
5) by the end of the year i think jackson and thomas will be the guys getting the most PT yeah i said jackson

Can Jason Hatcher get double-digit sacks again? Has any defensive lineman in our 3-4 recorded 10 or more sacks? I don't see that happening but I see Hatcher having the best year of any of our DL. I think that says more about where we were at before bringing him aboard.

Can Brian Orakpo perform at an elite level? My guess is yes because he wants to get paid. He was absent for most of last season until the last 4 games or so then he turned it up. He needs to develop more moves, use his hands with better consistency and not get so far up field.

Will Keenan Robinson be ready? He better be ready or we will have to use backup's and ST's to fill that position. The guy is a great athlete and will transition nicely imo and make more plays than Riley. Has to stay healthy though which is a concern.

Will David Amerson be ready? He better be considering the off season plan and the fact that he is now the starter by default. Haslett clearly thinks he is ready.

How will the safety spot sort out? Ryan Clark wasn't signed here to not start so he will. Merriweather has the most experience of anyone left so he will start opposite Clark. Thomas needs to step up and get some snaps as well. After all, he will be starting the following year imo. Rambo & Jackson appear to be backup and ST players for now and I don't see them contributing much. I see Doughty getting more snaps in certain situations than those two.

I don't think we resigned Reed Doughty
