What do you think of these five players? Anyone of them a possibility for the Niners. How much would Grimes or Davis command? Would they be upgrade over Rogers or Brown?

Hell no on Grimey & Maclin, but I could see the other 3 happening.

Maclin's a very good receiver. Britt has some upside if he's cheap.

I could go for Britt and Maclin would have to be cheap...

Davis too much dough IMO. No to the others....

I like Britt and maybe a change of scenery will help him. He is young and a bit immature, but with the group of veterans that the Niners have, that should help him. He has the all the physical talents and would be a good red zone target. I don't know what his asking price would be, it would be nice to have him just in case we don't sign Boldin or fail to extend Crabtree.

Understatement of the decade right there....

If Britt will come in for the minimum, or some sort of incentive-laden contract that he wouldn't see unless he puts up great numbers, fine. I wouldn't sign him otherwise.

Britt's a train wreck waiting to happen. If we are going the emotional diva route, why not trade Crabby for Dez Bryant and whatever picks would be needed? The Cowboys have a bloated cap, don't they?

No on all of them, I could live with Vonte but he will cost too much money.

What about Jacoby Jones ??

He is a solid #3 reciever and a hell of a return man, he would instantly upgrade our roster I think.

I'd love to bring in Jacoby Jones, but I'd only want him to return kicks & play in the offense only in certain formations / plays like Ginn should have.

Kenny Britt is a buy low, no lose situation. You can probably sign to to less than $1M/year with a small bonus, and his upside is huge. If he does not have a big bonus then the contract is basically a year to year contract.

Downside is he ends up being the 4th or 5th WR and we cut him (aka he becomes Jonathan Baldwin or Randy Moss part 2).

The ceiling on Kenny Britt is higher than Crabtree. I'd let Crabtree walk if Britt pans out.

I'd rather dump money in Kaep and Iupati than Crabtree.

Kenny Britt is on a whole 'nother level of stupid. I understand the buy-low mentality, but he's Aldon Smith / Von Miller without the production.

I like the idea of adding in veteran QB like Hill... Not only does it add insurance in case of injury, but also an in game coach to advise Kap on the sidelines in between series...

Ha what would Hill advise Kap to do? Talking about a guy who has never won anything and has been close to a career backup. I would rather have a backup that is actually decent and not 35 years old
