Okay, maybe not since his future team since they are on his no-trade list but, hey, it may just be leverage to get what he wants out of the deal. Anyway, here's today's matinee lineup:
Panik 2b
Duggar cf
Posey c
Belt 1b
Longoria 3b
Pillar rf
Williamson lf
Solano ss
Bumgarner sp
I could complain about the light hitting Solano continuing to get regular at-bats, but what is the point with this group? I'd love to see Bumgarner bat clean up in a game, just once, before he is no longer a Giant.
Edit: Oh, and I should note that Pillar is 13 for 31 lifetime against Gausman. The only other Giant in the starting lineup with more than 2 at-bats against him is Longoria, who is 8 for 33 lifetime. Interestingly, only 4 Braves, in their starting 8, have faced Bumgarner, and only 2 (Freeman and Culberson) have more than 8 at-bats against him. They are a combined 12 for 51 with 2 home runs (both Freeman) and 11 Ks against Bumgarner.
