Well, looked thar...
Looks like the Braves pitcher is tossing a PERFECT GAME. I wonder if he is aware he is tossing a PERFECT GAME. I bet the rest of the guys in the dugout have pointed it out to him.
Of course, with a top 5 like this, it will always be "stellar":Another stellar effort by the hitters.
Different day, different game.I think Sewage pitched decently. He got the bare minimum "quality start"
It's funny, but I remember the interwebs crushing the QS stat by looking at the bare minimum qualification and saying 'any pitcher who give up three runs in six innings isn't quality.'
It echoed the Belt Wars. I wonder how many of those clowns would take 6 and 3 now....

For the record, I always liked the QS stat. It was not an end-all-be-all stat, but it was helpful in getting a general idea of a pitchers consistency. PQS is better, but can only be manually calculated, which makes it almost useless.
If I were curious as to how many QS Bum had in 2014, I could find that out in a grand total of 45 seconds, depending on my connection speed. If I wanted to know his PQS breakdown, I would need to check my schedule for the next hour+. And trying to compare his numbers to the rest of the league? Forget about it.It’s not hard to compute. I guess I don’t understand your “can only be manually calculated” comment. Wouldn’t that apply to QS too?

So yeah. Essentially worthless.
That’s the gist of it, yes.So your position is that PQS is essentially worthless because there isn’t a well known website tallying it and putting it up for your easy consumption. Got it.
Wasn't PQS created by someone who sells fantasy stat books? So your position is that PQS is essentially worthless because there isn’t a well known website tallying it and putting it up for your easy consumption. Got it.
