Obviously we have 2 legit pitchers hurt. I'm not at all convinced on the 3 young guys being any better than 4-5s at best. At best. And you still think Samardzija can pitch?

I guess my point is, our starting 5 right now contains no legit starters.

I think that there is a difference between 4-5 starters and no legit starters. I do agree that no one is close to anything needed for the nos. 1 and 2 spots in the staff (and probably even no. 3) but to say no major league quality starters is a bit of an overstatement, in my opinion. As for Samardzija, I'm not a big fan, but I do think that his production this year could be health related. I'd rather see him placed on the dl because his production isn't that great right now.
