It would be very nice if he can start to swing the bat somewhat like he did last year.

We definitely have some upside opportunities.

I don’t think the cap space can by over stated. Even though the Wilson trade does not appear to have worked out, I REALLY like the concept, and hope we make more of those kinds of trades in the future.

Who knows? Perhaps a certain team in our division in an adjacent state may at that time be willing to work out a deal for a certain large LHP with a big but not ridiculous contract who is currently playing well and has played here before.

He was going to tell his side of story about his leaving the Giants later in ST in 2020. Abviously that got derailed a bit. Have you seen him address that story again since? He definitely made it seem there was a story there that was more than just the standard “It was time, so I went to the money”. There was SOME level of bad blood there…

Not sure how long other teams have to claim him. He was DFA'd on 5.5

I looked around as well, and also find nada. I seem to remember the DFA waiver wire lasting 10 days, but I don’t know why I remember that.

I would assume he will be traded before it ends though. No way he clears, and if we trade him, we get SOMETHING.

You are awfully optimistic. I don't think Beede will be able to net that kind of return. Inflation has hit the light hitting middle infield market too.

Jaylin Davis was dfa'd on April 21st and an announcement was made on April 28th that he was claimed by the Red Sox. I don't know if that is the max time frame for waivers but if it is, then we should know more about Beede tomorrow.
