Thats good news I guess. I kind of wanted him to play though, I wanted the Rams at full strength. So when we beat them there is no excuse

I got direct tv. Best thing ever, I couldn't imagine going back to regular cable. Have not missed a 49ers game all year

Definitely ready for CK to be the first 49ers QB to win his first 3 starts since the 1970 merger. I'm really surprised that James isn't active though.

I touched on it earlier, but I think still having 3 veterans above him on the depth chart, combined with not being a key guy on special teams makes it unlikely he'll play much. In future seasons I can see him having more of a role.

I'm not sure how much this factors in, but I think Harbaugh likes having very capable guys on the scout team. I remember when they picked Tolzien over Johnson, he mentioned that Tolzien's abilitiy to give them good looks for their upcoming games was a factor. Something along those lines. I wonder if having James emulate explosive opponents in practice is something they consider. He's played both Sproles and Cobb this season.
