Bad feeling about this one. With so many injuries on both lines and missing the anchor of last year's defense, I don't see the 49ers having much luck stopping the fast-paced AZ offense especially with the addition of the league's top receiver to go with perennial 49er killer Larry Fitzgerald.

Without a single NFL caliber wide receiver on the team I think the 49er offense will struggle to keep up with the Cardinals. They'll run a little early but falling behind so quickly they will have to abandon that

Too many injuries and an inability to stop the Cardinal offense makes it:

Cardinals - 31
49ers - 27

Interesting thought and it does make sense to a certain extent, we do have two TE's that can also run routes/catch passes.

I'm not about to guarantee a win but for me the 49ers win this game. As is usually the case, they would lose via multiple turnovers and loads of penalties.

Yes, there is a BIG concern with injuries at Center and thus RG, but for me Deebo can sit out and we still have enough fire power.

Some interesting thoughts in here. I gotta say that I'm worried about his game b/c we struggled against the Cards and Murray in the past. Mobile QBs always hurt us. I honestly think we're gonna lose a squeaker, but If we can keep the ball on the ground, and hit the RBs and TEs in teh passing game, we can definitely pull this one out.

For me its the same every game, the keys are no turnovers and few penalties, it starts with limiting your own mistakes.

If we lean to the run and are successful doing it, that reduces the time Kyler is on the field. Not saying only run, but lean to the run as we did all of last season.

Yes, if the run game is successful, it opens it up for EITHER Kittle or Reed. We should lean run but not saying only run.

Running is good because it reduces mistakes.

I don't like this being the opener, especially when they've had no practice games.

I'm interested to see what we get out of McKinnon. Same with Aiyuk though I really don't expect much from him at all.

I don't have good vibes about this game.....I think if the Cards get some decent defense this year, they'll be trouble for a lot of teams. Of course, that's all depending on whether Murray takes a step forward.

Last I read was the air quality was trending in the right direction, but who knows. Supposedly if the air quality index hits 200, then the NFL can pull the plug. It hasn't reached 200 all week leading up, and the latest/highest reading I've seen is 186.

Yes, like all the good QB's, if they're 'hot' that day, you can't stop them. If Kyler Murray's passing is sharp today, you can't stop it. What you hope for is to slow them in the red zone, and force field goals.

This is when our offense needs to help out and don't see why it wouldn't? Just avoid turnovers and penalties.

49er offense is terrible. I'm amending my pick to:

Cardinals 17
49ers 16

Getting zero points from the 1 yard line in the 2nd quarter costs them the game. Dedfense did a good job though.

Worse than a loss is the loss of Kittle

Choking right before half and giving up a field goal didn't help; neither did the ridiculous blocked punt.

Certainly didn't deserve a win....the whole team was off, starting with the QB.
