With all the drama just going into this series, we're totally heading towards the Sixers flaming out, Doc getting fired, and then Doc getting hired by the Lakers. :L

Don't speak of it. We can't risk having that out in the universe.

The bigger fall out from a Doc first round exit and firing would be the Sixers likely having interest in Sam Cassell, a favorite among Laker candidates.

I give the Raptors the coaching edge in this story. Not sure why Nurse doesn’t get more love. For me, he’s one of the top head coaches in the league. Just realized that you’re a Raptors fan. Quick glance I saw the Eagles and just made the assumption. Good luck in the series. Much respect for your team and franchise. Kawhi sent my guys packing in 2019 and the best compliment I can give is that despite that, I have more respect than sports hate for the Raptors and the way they run their business and the team oriented product they put on the floo
Funny story. Watched my first NFL game in 1980 at age 12. Everyone else was cheering for Dallas in the house and I decided to support the green guys. Haven't missed a game since. Which seems impossible but its true. I have missed parts of games but always have managed to see the guts.

Go Birds! Come back now and again during the series to talk ball with us. There’s really only one Raptors regular here but a bunch of Sixers fans who show up during playoffs. @raptorlife4 would probably appreciate a compadre to deal with us Sixers assholes haha.

For stat nerds....

In 56 minutes together vs the Raps.....Harden and Embiid were +31.

In 2019 Embiid was a +90 for the series vs Toronto and they still lost the series. This stuff can be misleading especially when the Embiid back up role has been an adventure for years.

The Sixers, despite having Embiid, are a pretty terrible rebounding team all around. They are 29th in team rebounding! Toronto by comparison is 5th in team rebounding.

This is where you see the weakness of having Tobias Harris as a 4 really manifest itself. He is a classic tweener, a little too small for the 4 and too slow for the 3. He is always terrible in the playoffs and I have no doubt he is about to lay another egg against the Raptors. It's a bad matchup.

Harris gets 7-8 boards a game. He’s not a problem as a rebounder. He’s not an exceptional rebounder either. The rebound issues are a team issue of blocking out and guys playing their responsibility once a shot goes up. In this regard, our wings are the major issue. Tobias seems to be the perennial Sixers whipping boy because he’s not worth what he’s paid.

Going to be a tough series. Sixers got a lot of issues. Embiid will win them to the 2nd round though. Sixers in 7.

Harris has 6.8 rebounds a game, which puts him in the bottom tier of starting 4s in the NBA.

Edit: I think this is for last season, not this season, but I his average for this season is the same, 6.8.

Good offensive start for Philly, but let's see if they can run at that pace. The tempo suits Toronto better.
