Mets won 2 of 3 vs the Brewers while the Sox swept the O's.

Bartolo had a perfect game going to the 8th which is simply incredible. He was outpitching Verlander who only gave up 1 H in 8 IP last night

In other news, this weather is ass. MLB really need to do something about this. Starting the season in late March/early April only to have so many games canceled is just dumb.

11 games were postponed over the weekend.

I'm not against moving back to 154 games. Never happen though.

One of the yankees beat writers said 144 or 154. I'm ok with either as it means starting the season in mid April which usually means just one week of winter weather in those cities instead of 3 weeks which is what we're currently faced with

Looking at all the postponements yesterday I wondered what the mlb record for postponements in a day was.

as always over reaction to something:suds:

Six more Major League Baseball games were wiped out Sunday, running this season's total number of postponements to 21 in only 2 1/2 weeks. It's baseball's highest number through the end of April since it had 26 in 2007, and there are still a couple weeks to go this month.
The last time six games were wiped out in a single day was Sept. 12, 2008, and that situation was partly caused by Hurricane Ike battering the Gulf Coast. There was more dicey weather in the forecast for Monday, and Boston postponed its annual Patriots' Day game for the first time since 1984.

Colonists, armed with pitchforks and scythes, fought the world-renowned British Army in Lexington and Concord, but the pussy ass Red Sox can't play ball in a bit of cool weather? Pathetic. Sam Adams, Paul Revere and Doc Warren are turning in their graves.
