Is Posey’s ego keeping him in the 3rd/4th spot or is it Bochy’s respect for him? I mean at this point, shouldn’t he be hitting 6th or 7th?

Who is hitting enough to bump him?

In theory I agree with your point. But in practice, it isn’t like there is a hot competition of 4 guys trying to bump him from the spot.

The 5th and 6th hitters.

Good news: Dodgers swept by the Cards. Dodger pitching is a train wreck, as their hitters make other pitching staffs a train wreck. I suppose they should get used to 8-7 ballgames in LA.

Kershaw back soon...

I heard that the Giants are the only MLB team that has not scored a first inning run.
They have been talking a lot about this during the broadcasts. I think they haven’t scored before the 3rd inning yet...

Ok, I'll admit to a little bit of foul smell eminating from my Huggies.

Well, if Poopturdja fails here, it's on Bochy.

Really nice start.

I like that he's kept in Samardzija. He's pitched a great game and came in this inning with 80 pitches thrown. He comes up third in the bottom half of the inning.
Edit: And only throws 10 pitches this inning. I think he could go another inning. In a tie game, if he comes up with 2 outs and no one on, do you stick with him or lift him for a pinch hitter?
