First very good team we've faced, 1-2 and looking competitive each game would be a good result to me, any more is gravy

In transit during the game so won't be in the thread, go Giants!

This road trip is brutal, 3 at Yankees, 4 at Phillies, then fly cross country no off day for 3 at Angels before coming home

Today was a scheduled off day...next one not until April 28 lol

Hey, the Giants will be in town! I should catch a game . . . oh wait, I'm in Tennessee now. Dang it! (Not that I usually had the time to catch a game at Angels' Stadium when the Giants came in town when I lived 20 minutes away from there).

Fun fact: the firm I worked for the last 4 years prior to joining my new firm in January has their offices about 2 blocks from Angel Stadium. A few years ago I went to an all hands meeting there and we had a "team building" event seeing the Angels play the Rays. Trout and Ohtani homered. As I walked in the stadium, I realized I hadn't been there since Game 6 of the 2002 WS. I expected to kind of forget about that game but 5 minutes in the stadium I see this huge picture of THE 2002 WORLD CHAMPION ANGELS....all the pain returned.

FWIW I take personal responsibility for that WS loss. I was in Minnesota in law school at the time and when we blew them out in game 5, I bought tickets to both games 6 and 7 and flew to Anaheim.

Never buy game 7 tickets when you're up 3-2. I taunted the baseball G-ds and ruined it for all of us. I flew back to MN after game 6.

I'm so, so sorry.

Where did you sit for game 6? I was down the right field line, probably 20 rows up from the field (yeah, that Spiezio home run was right in front of me).

And all is forgiven, the 3 WS flags since then makes 2002 lot easier on the memory.

I was upper deck, third base side.

Sounds like you were on the opposite side of me. I got in around the 6th inning (if I remember correctly) as a result of buying a ticket from a scalper (still cost a pretty penny, even though game had been going for over an hour). Got in just in time for the Baker debacle and the subsequent Angels' rally.
