Agree, hopefully the Yankees stay away from Peyton Kershaw......Edit: Didn't know he signed with Dodgers.....History doesn't lie. Kershaw does not step up, A decent game here and there in the post season, but 31M per year for 3 years? yikes.

Pretty smart business by the Dodgers. They get him for 3 more years and aren't going to be saddled with his mid-30s seasons which are almost certainly not going to be good.

He definitely would have got more on the open market. Most baseball front offices aren't captives of the moment.
