Your weak side LB better have his stuff wired tight or this will get him toasted on play action. Otherwise its a solid front against what we were trying to do the last two years.

It is a base 3-4 front and just like a 4-3 front you can line up "over" "under" etc. It basically has to do with gap control and assignment. There are a zillion actions that can be run off this and when you add DBs even more. Although the Redskins are considered a 3-4 defense they ran more 4-3 than 3-4 last year.

I think it will be even more interesting what they do with Trent Murphy this year. I expect they will have him and/or Kerrigan playing with their hand in the dirt on some third down plays. The might try running double overload action where Orakpo and Hatcher line up next to each other and Kerrigan and Murphy on the other side. I am looking for some fun action off that pick.
