Definitely a flagrant 1.

Definitely intended to commit a frustration foul.

Definitely did not intend to hit Johnson in the face.

I don't think he was trying to hit Johnson in the face. But I don't think a flagrant 2 requires intent to hurt someone. It simply requires the ref to determine that the act was excessive. As they said at the time, the wind up was what made them deem it excessive.

As with most of these fouls, I could have seen them call it a flagrant 1. But a flagrant 2 was perfectly justifiably, given the standard.
