Foerster on the 4th line is puzzling. Hes a goal scorer with a heavy shot not a fourth liner.

For sure. But it's not really a traditional 4th line. Ratcliffe isn't a fourth line type guy really either. It did sound like they plan on using Foerster on the PP too.

Sushko-Rubtsov-Willman is a more traditional 4th line probably, just listed as 3rd line.

Preseason lineups are always kind of weird.

At least hockey is back!

I watched the first 2 periods closely and kinda had the 3rd on in the background. Brassard was their best player to my eyes which was a real pleasant surprise. I thought Ellis looked super smooth with Provorov too.

Most of the forwards looked out of sync to me though.

I get the feeling with all of these new additions to our roster, that we won't need to worry so much about leadership. We have a lot of experience and seasoned vets to go along with plenty of youth. I love the way this roster looks.
I would love our roster a ton more if we had more skilled players up front but we gotta go with what we got.

Hooooray for hockey!!!!!

Nice to see Shushko score with only 7:55 of ice time.

Our forwards did a lot of hitting which i always like to see.

Our defenseman had a lot of blocked shots which i like as well.

So I was checking out for NHL season packages for streaming. Is game center of center ice a thing anymore? Every time I clicked on a link it forwarded it to ESPN+ which I already have. Does that mean I'll get every Flyers game like when back in the day it was center ice? Not sure if I'm explaining this properly?

I stream and I also have basic Spectrum because of the high speed internet they have. It's confusing because from what I can tell, or maybe I'm wrong, it looks like ESPN+ will carry majority of games. Ex. It appears that they will televise multiple games instead of the game of the week like NBCSN use to do.
and btw, if that's the case, this ESPN Disney+ deal is a bargain at $1399/ month.
Oh and ESPN+ allows me to watch my fav FC Bayern Muchen games in the Budesliga Futbol.

Tanner Laczynski out for the year and needs hip surgery. Had surgery on other hip last year. Good depth guy.

I signed up for just espn+ and from what I’m told - this is all I need for all hockey this season. Quite a deal compared to nhl.tv

Unfortunate news. I was hoping he’d bang down the door on the 4th line this year. He can’t catch a break. Should’ve been able to nail down a 4th line role last year before injuries, now this.

Does anyone know if all of our players are vaccinated?

I think Fletcher said they would be by the start of the season. Sounded like they had 1 or 2 that were 1 shot in at his pre-season press conference a week or two ago.
