Please keep draft discussion in this thread.

Reminder- MUST add draft discussion this year to be invited back next year. I am very serious about it this time. I have never wanted to boot long term members out but we now have others interested who would add to the draft discussion thread so it has made it more tempting then ever. I have two on the waiting list knocking on the door. Don't make me let them in. This is the most fun part of the league. If you don't want to or don't know know anything about the picks at least tell us what you are wearing or eating or listening to during the draft.

I think we have only ever had one person draft 12th two years in a row.

Stay pissed off about it and the fantasy gods may bring you karama at 12 again next year.

I actually find most people like picking 12th.

Just to throw this out there... I know I'm one of the main "violators" when it comes to activity level, especially in the discussion threads. I love college football and this league, but just being honest, I'm very limited in how much time I have available. Just a tough window of life right now for downtime with work + young kids. And during the draft most of the time I have is used to create a queue list and research players. All that to say, if you want to replace me before we get this thing going, I completely understand and no hard feelings whatsoever. My replacement might have hard feelings for getting stuck with Ryan Coleman-Williams as a keeper, but that's a separate issue.

I feel more pressure with the back to back picks. If I miss or regret a pick, it's a long time back around.

I love picking back to back.

Id rather be in that situation than where I am this year. I feel like at #9 unless I get lucky and someone I like falls more than they should, I'm gonna feel like whoever I end up with is a bit of a reach. At 12/13 I basically just treat both those picks as 2nd round value.

I am pretty mindful of people as we all get older get a little busier in life. It’s not like it was when we first started this thing and people were in college or fresh out but even a hello here and there in the discussion is nice. You will be fine.

Then last year it felt like it took 3 steps back.

Let's get it back to two years ago. Not expecting non stop talk about picks but just BS with Q or something.

Q would like to know your favorite ice cream flavor.

I always miss Stevie during the draft. He brought some flare. Now we all look forward to Q's write ups as I deal with his non stop, around the clock trade offers in fantasy baseball.

This is my 10th year in this thing. I know that's like half than most of you but still a long time.

The first like 4/5 years the first few rounds would always been when I was in vegas and torn up. Now As a father of a toddler now staying up till 2 am would kill me lol

Love the addition of you and dhoey. I think you guys either started the same year or maybe dhoey started a year after you.

I was just thinking yesterday how when you two first came into the league you were replacing legendary owners who had been with us a long time. Old posters who it just kind of faded for them due to time constraints. Now, you guys feel like you are a big part of the history/memories of soul 12. "The new old people of the league"
We have a lot of history with this league and it feels like many of us basically grew up together. I remember JB telling me he was having twins and I was like "holy cow you're young to be having twins"... Now his twins will be having twins soon. We will see JB go from young college kid, to father, to grandfather through this league. You guys are the new history of the league. It would no longer seem the same without you two.

I really don't want to go find college kids to play in this league... Yet, at one time we were all college kids starting this league.

I have this memory when TitanFan was in this league and he was overseas... We would get to him and then you knew the draft would stop until about 2/3 AM (CT)... I would wake up (because I don't sleep well) and think to myself. I wonder who TF took while I was asleep. At that point no phone with data plan and no laptop so I would rub my eyes, stumble to my spare room in my apartment and get on my laptop to see who TF selected. Ahhh the good ole days.

Having easy access to the Internet via cell phone definitely makes it easy to get around some of the time constraints. I can pop in to say some BS or make a pick from wherever. Most of the picking goes on during my work hours anyway, though being on the west coast sometimes my first pick of the day comes up before I wake up lol.

For sure. It doesn't take long to make a quick comment during the draft.

One a day from everyone would be amazing. Even if it is just to pick on Q.
