Be careful. Charlie Becker was telling me at practice this morning that one of his friends on Q's team told him that Q has his players hitting your players up offering them money to see your playbook.

Some thoughts on players/picks that I liked in Rounds 8 & 9.


Round 8 Pick 92: Tre Spivey, WR, Arizona
Stood out to me on YouTube highlights as a strong breakout candidate, especially paired with an underrated Noah Fifita throwing him the ball.

Round 9 Pick 100: Mason Heintschel, QB, Pittsburgh
Poised for a major step forward this year. Wanted him as my QB3 just before missing out and settling for a hobbled Will Hammond.

Round 9 Pick 101: Terrell Anderson, WR, USC
Strong candidate to step into the primary role following recent departures. Even with a deep freshman group, and Tanook Hines, this was a great upside swing by Q. #yearofQ

Round 9 Pick 105: Junior Sherrill, WR, Vanderbilt
Production should climb with the departure of Diego Pavia. Fewer quarterback runs opens the door for more volume through the air to Sherrill. Excellent value for the 9th round.

I promise it wasn't intentional. I randomly highlighted picks that I liked from Round 8 and beyond on my draft board spreadsheet and this is how it played out in Round 8 & 9. Overall I think you had the most highlighted when it was all said and done.

Q is the king. I don’t blame you. Anderson and Spivey were my favorite picks of his as well based on where he got them, etc.

I took Isaiah West based on rumblings that he might actually end up being the #1 RB over Bo Jackson. He's been running with the 1s the first 2 days of fall camp now. I'm sure there will still be a share type situation but this is potentially huge for my RB depth.

I saw that. Pretty amazing after Bo Jackson ended the season so well. Is there any word on Bo? Is West just that impressive or did Bo come in out of shape or anything?

I don't think anything is necessarily "wrong" with Bo. West apparently hit the weight room hard and is a freight train now. The biggest knock-on Bo was probably that he was "too easy to bring down". I think there will possibly be a Henderson/Judkins type share no matter who ends up the "#1" though.

Rogers is dealing with injuries still from what I understand (didnt participate for a lot of spring) He's unfortunately been hurt a lot of his time at Ohio State. Probably will be his last year here if I had to guess unless there is a quick major turn. Word is when he has participated it looks like he has lost a step.
