Skipping OTAs will have teams with Boutte's friends calling him to check what's going on. They will talk to him and see if he's looking to get out and then pass on information to their front office. Then the teams start checking with Wolfe to his availability. Then Wolfe and Vrabel have to decide whether to keep him for one more year before he walks , resign him to a new contract or trade him for what we all think was for a stupidly low draft pick.
Was he there last year? They are "Voluntary" are they not?

Every vet who's been in the OTAs and working out has said the exact same thing, "Coach has been brutal physically and mentally." None are complaining and they've all said that they needed the push. Of course the rookies don't know any better and certainly don't know worse. Not a single beat writer has had even a question about it at the open press conferences. MassLive asked a question to readers. "Is Vrabel's personal frustrations the reason for pushing players to their limits so early in the season?"

BK doesn't believe he's venting his own frustration, I believe that he kniows the upcoming season is going to be agonizing if this team isn't physically and mentally prepared when the starting gun is fired. IMO, he starting immediately and warning every player that he will not accept any excuses for poor play or conditioning. The toughest game of the season will be on Wednesday Night September 9th. They were pummeled by the Seahawks in SBXLI in February and Vrabel does not want to go to Seattle, play in front of the loudest home crowd in the NFL and be embarrassed again. He wants revenge and he wants this team to extract it in spades.

Answer? No!
Vrabel has been to the SB and understands the "superbowl hangover"
The solution is not indifference

Saw this, now NE needs to find another TE. Not sure Pitts is affordable after the AJ signing.

What affordable options are out there? Doesn't need to be a star just a solid blocker. Hopefully Raridon can spell HH.

Not sure how many we carry on the norm? Raridon is a bit of an anomaly. Under used at Notre Dame because they were so run heavy. I think he has a high ceiling and can block. So while losing Hill stings IMO he's not a huge loss.

I think you need to have at least 3 on the roster. Maybe one of them on the PS. But can't go into the year with only two TEs. Mentioned in the other thread, make Hollins a hybrid TE.

I'm not at all concerned about losing Hill. Im sure we can replace him with minimal effort
