2026 Olympics Thread: From Milan to Marner - A Strange, Olympic Journey

[Loco2]

Just a month away.... get pumped. Returning to Italy after 20 years. Here is an emotional video of the last time the Olympics were there. You may recognize a couple of hockey players wearing #8 and #87 in the video. Hard to believe both are still going strong.

On Reddit today...

How long do they get to prepare for these games?
Judging by the hockey arena, I'd say about 3 weeks.

The rink my team plays in has the exact same scoreboard. It was installed in 1990 when the Chill were founded.

I'm excited to see SKIMO (ski mountaineering) making it's debut this year at the Olympics. It combines alpine hiking uphill with downhill skiing.

Oh.

Okay, then.

But like drop shadows can't come from both sides, right?

I was hoping for Hutson, but not a bad second choice. We could do a lot worse
