Pittman... I like this move. Another big target on the boundary. Not a fast guy, but a good route runner and has great hands. WR1 upside. Takes the pressure off of DK. Steelers finally acknowledging WR2 as a need.

Dean... Don't know enough about him to say much. On paper he has good stats, but he hasn't played a full season... ever. So he'll fit right in with the injury prone secondary.

Dowdle... Sneaky move here. I love the tandem of Warren & Dowdle. Very aggressive runners. This pretty much slams the door shut on Kaleb Johnson though, which is sad.

Think we can safely remove WR off the draft board in Rd 1. They still have a need for a slot guy in later rounds. Roman Wilson & Ben Skowronek are the only others on the roster.

Round 1 is looking like BPA... QB, S, or OL? Not sure what the status is on Brojo's neck. Seumalo signed with the Cards.

Figured someone would get him. $10.5m AAV doesn't seem like an overpay, but it depends on the guarantees. And at 33 years old, I doubt the Steelers wanted to commit to anything more than 2 years.

Good for him. He went from getting the axe after camp, to resigning & instantly making an impact during the regular season last year. Hope he does well for them.

Steelers sign P Cameron Johnston to a 1 year deal.

Waitman is a UFA who beat out Johnston last year. But he regressed pretty badly late in the season. Johnston just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

Naturally Heyward re-did his contract again.

Really wasn't good last year so I taking he is acting as a warm body for depth at Safety. Guess he can't be much worse vs some of what the used last year?

Interesting. Seems like the last couple offseasons they've been reluctant to extend him at all. Whether its age, injury concerns, whatever... Now suddenly they're onboard with 2 year extension.

But its still criminal he's being paid so low for top end production. In terms of IDL contracts, that would rank 20th in AAV.

Low risk gamble. He's been god-awful in coverage as a starter.

Final compensation picks announced.
Get a 3rd (99), 4th (135), and two 6th (214, 216) round picks.

So they have five picks in the top 100 and six in the first four rounds. I expect them to do something to move up.

Love the Pittman addition and he cheaper than Pierce. Not sure what the Colts are doing.

Same with Dowdle. Carolina gonna miss him

It's been a really good offseason overall. Ton of draft capital to be an active player, too.

We fixed LB and CB but didn't do shit at S. 2 weak links there. Prolly gonna address that in the draft.

I would have liked Brisket. He makes a little less than both guys at safety. And he is better.

Wouldn't be surprised if another Steeler cast off comes your way in Duggar. He looked good at times but could help at S.

With Wilson being the likely #3 receiver you could get a good WR in the 3rd at #76. Deep draft for receiver.

The draft pick could actually push Wilson for the #3 receiver option if Wilson does not step up his game.
