2026 offseason postion of need rankings

Even if they anticipate keeping all of them, (that's not possible) this team, in order to move into the consistent contenders stratosphere, will have to get that run wrecking, middle collapsing "fat boy" DT! That guy is not currently on this roster.

newton had one game and then disappeared vs eagles 2nd team . kinlaw is hit or miss and payne is a contract player . we need a DT . i did forget edge on my rankings which was stupid

we need to be strong up the middle on offense and defense all of those needs wont be addressed this off season

Why can it? 1 DT, 1 LB, 1 Safety. It starts with drafting the safety. Likely LB in FA and drafting the DT and adding 1 in FA.

Yep!
On the lists of things that I suspect and cannot prove, Allen, Payne, and a few others arrived here at the wrong time with less than desired motivations.
These guys, and especially those two came here from winning programs, then kind of settled into a losing culture. Remember when Allen went public with his frustrations, and the near fight that they got into? That convinced me, that Payne was simply playing for contractual gains, but not to win anything more than an occasional game! So, you'd have to ask, why does he have his best seasons, when it's reup time?

I agree we need a DT. It just is not a huge need based on our current roster.

I agree we need to get better but at this moment, we have too much invested at DT to call it a need. I am all for trading Payne and hopefully changing that.

There's no doubt about the investment at the position, but trading Payne has to be the next logical move if bulking up is the goal.
