i would say i'll check when i get home, but i just realized i really don't care lol.
Naylor has been a pretty consistent hitter for the last four years in both Cleveland and Arizona. Arizona is a plus offense ball park, T-Mobile is a minus offense ball park. I agree that Naylor could regress in OPS. But I think he'll still drive in runs (85-95), and that is what they are paying him to do.I think you are going to end of loving Donovan before the season is up.
My prediction: Donovan becomes fan favorite, Naylor regresses.
Thomas didn’t a chance last year cause Tavares was on the roster and once they cut him they called Canzone up. That is kind of the problem is there isn’t really a spot for him during the regular season. IMO he is another guy who shouldn’t be facing lefties either if he gets extended run in the MLB and they can’t have that many guys on the roster.Thylan Thomas is having a solid spring following a very good year in Tacoma last year. Thomas and Samad Taylor are enigmas to me. I don't know why the Mariners never gave either of these guys extended looks during the regular season. Now Taylor is gone and Thomas no doubt will once again begin the season in Tacoma. Too weird. I'd rather see Thomas get Roble's spot on the roster and trade Robles rather than continue to hope that his solid half season in 2024 was not a fluke, despite nine years in the majors with little else to show for it.
Cooper Criswell has probably made the team, or should make it anyway. Mariners will probably break camp with 12 pitchers until the rotation has build up their arm strengths to desired expections. That should give Criswell an opportunity, especially if Miller is not ready on opening day. His chief competition for spot starting is Hancock, Lawrence, Diaz, and Dunning and he obliterated all of them .
Conner Joe and Patrick Wisdom are having solid springs. I doubt if either make the team. I'm guessing they are outrighted to Tacoma or are given their release to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
I just think the energy level he brought last year is going to be hard to match this year. Plus those injuries might creep up on him again. Injuries are the one concern I have with him, but they had to give him the contract.I just think the energy level he brought last year is going to be hard to match this year. Plus those injuries might creep up on him again. But he is a gamer.
Agreed. You can't tinker with those or they linger on forever. Let it heal and comeback when 100% ready.I wonder what the timetable would be to just let him completely heal his oblique before doing anything. Cause that seems preferable as opposed to starting and stopping
He’s turning into one of those guys that is always dealing with something… it’s not good.I wonder what the timetable would be to just let him completely heal his oblique before doing anything. Cause that seems preferable as opposed to starting and stopping
