I'm not even sure Rodriguez should be top 20. Not good defense and his bat hasn't that good either. Seems overrated.
I like him, but I don’t think his ceiling is all that high and he is already getting to the age-point where he needs to shit or get off the pot.
According to MLB.com, outside of Flora, 6 other 1st round picks have signed. Of those 6, only 1 has signed at or above slot value (the Reds' pick, 18th overall, signed for about 300k over value. He was also thought to be picked earlier in the draft). Interesting almost all of the early signees are coming in under their slot value.
Assuming there is a ‘27, it is not out of the question that Flora could get his cuppo as early as next year. We have a need, and he is considered to be advanced.

No but we have almost daily thunderstorms that roll in. Some days they are actually welcomed because they can lower the temperature by 10 to 15 degrees so it is no longer suffocating heat mixed with high humidity and is just merely humid and rainy.
How far are you from DC? DC is hell in the summer.
About 16 hours by car. I think, from what I've observed, most of the eastern half of the U.S. is like this in the summer.
I used to live in Miami. But that is a completely different game down there.
I visited the Everglades and the Keys at the end of May and it was hot and humid but the worst part was the mosquitoes! We were on a trail in the Everglades and my son was behind me. He said that the backs of my legs were covered with mosquitoes. At the visitor's center on the southern end had a "mosquito meter" and it was only set to level 3 of 5. I cannot even imagine (nor do I want to know) how bad it looks at level 5.
