In the NFC i think Ari could surprise as a playoff team. In the AFC i don't think the Pats make it but should be close. How many wins do you have us at the #1 Seed? 12? 13?

Raiders just b.c they play the NFC east and their division it will be tough for them. I Agree with the Cards for the NFC. AFC i got the jags as a surprise team.

If in year 3 Sean Payton supplants KC and Andy Reid at the top of that division, then yes.

My surprise teams are the Jags and the Niners (not sure if they count). If you want another surprise, the Panthers. I don’t see them in the playoffs but in the hunt.

Although I am convinced otherwise, this is a massive year for Lawrence in Jacksonville, where they're still looking for him to step up his game, become that difference making QB and lead them to greater things. To me he's a nice addition, but not what they're paying for nor had hoped to get when they drafted him #1 five years ago.
The Niners are a mash unit albeit when healthy presents problems in that division and the conference. They actually paid Purdy top-end monies (5 year $265M, AAV $53M and $181M in guarantees) when he's not close to that. Btw; With this latest setback, I think we've already seen the best of McCaffery.

The Panthers would indeed be a surprise team.
