So there is a lot of talk about the Pats and easy schedule and the easy path to the SB which IMO matters little. You play who you are scheduled to play. They also ignore we had to play the #5 and #1 defenses on this journey. What really tickles me is the fact they are completely ignoring the Pats crushed the off season. They inked Vrabel and Skippy and Doug Marone, they inked key free agents especially on the defensive side of the ball, and they have gelled they are playing as one unit now. Then they absolutely crushed the draft, give credit to Vrabel and Wolfe on that front. So maybe the path was easy and maybe they should consider how quickly the organization turned things around and how they did it.

Are you suggesting they should stop trying to sell their content? Even a guy like Greg Hill (WEEI) - who has a career being a semi-shock classic rock station "dj" can sell content in this landscape.

In the end, only what happens on the field matters.

Everything is easier when you do things right!
God forbid the Patriots get credit for winning because they made the right moves........

The Patriots have overachieved in every aspect of the season. It’s been a great year. Now that we are favored to win this Sunday, is the season a failure to get so close and lose to a Stidham led Broncos team to reach the Superbowl?

Not IMO, no way I could ever consider getting to the AFCCG a failure.

No more than it was a failure for losing to Oakland. Both teams play and both teams play both offense, defense, and special teams. Studdles only plays on offense.

jes ponderin’ … I’m thinking that 21-point blown lead to Buffalo may have been the best thing given to this team

You mean the blown lead that led this game to being played in Denver instead of Foxboro?

actually yeah … 22 at Denver 15 at Foxborough with very low visibility
but more importantly, that loss may have been the kick in the ass these kids needed at the right time … you know this game is theirs to lose right?

Yes, it's theirs to lose, and the Donks are happy to help. The breathing conditions and crowd noise won't be a benefit. Sure, the weather's a problem, but leage probably would have moved the game to Saturday- as conditions have been predicted since last Monday.

Of course there are other factors, such as opponents would have changed along the way and Nix might not have been injured. However, butterfly effect analyses can never be accurate given to many possible micro-outcomes, each with a potential change impact.

Ok wisea$$ … could ya give me a little on the notion that the kids learned anything from that blown game with Buffalo ?
I mean the fact that they’re in Denver should be the perfect reminder to them not to letdown … I do acknowledge if the weather were better where I sit, that ya, maybe a butterfly could fly outta my ass from this idea … but still

I'm not being a wise azz or a contrarian. I'm giving an honest reaction. These kids are professionals who have experienced highs and lows before their arrival. The coaching is very grounded.

A guy like Boutte has probably learned more fom failures off the field than he ever could on. The team culture is more about appreciating what has been done, than celebrating it.

This isn't a team that needs lessons on it current path to know this: they win by out executing their opponent. They knew that before the Buffaloe game and they know that now. They don't have a right to win, they must earn it.

How much fun were you expecting to have watching the Pats in 2025, before the season started? To be honest, I was pretty much set for more ho hum boring games. Game coming up will be the opposite of boring.

Team has exceeded expectations, young team with a bunch of young talented players. What coach Vrabel has done first year as HC, to build a team with clear identity and such winning spirit, is nothing short of amazing.

What an exciting game to look forward to, Pats @ Broncos. Thanks. Cheers!

I was expecting to be more pissed off than smirking. Now I'm smirking at myself.
