2025 NASCAR Season Thread

Well, tomorrow, Sunday at 1:30pm EST, the 67th running of the Daytona 500 takes place to open the 2025 NASCAR season. Forty-one drivers made the field including Helio CastroNeves and Jimmie Johnson. Should be interesting to watch but we shall see. Alot more independent teams are entered this year after the lawsuit by Michael Jordon over the charters issues remains in litigation. Another NSACAR season will underway.

Rain delayed to start the race and then alot of wrecking at the end. William Byron wins back-to-back 500's. I hate Hendricks.

Who ended up buying the SHR charters?

Carl Haas did. The new version of the old SHR is Haas Factory Cars and he has one car, the 41.

Sorry, UVA. The new team is Haas Factory Team. Haas has Cole Custer driving the 41 Ford Mustang in the big leagues and he has two XFinity cars as well. Of course Haas is also involved with F-1.

Gotcha. I thought that they were completely disbanding and Gene and Tony were going to focus on other racing.

Only Tony was going to focus just on drag racing and the NHRA. Gene Haas already has other interests with F-1 and IMSA.
