Also of note, diver extraordinaire Ryan Kesler was charged with fourth degree criminal sexual misconduct allegedly involving a 16 year old last week and pleaded not guilty.

I believe he was coaching youth hockey so connect the dots.

We always knew he was douchey but this, wow.

I remember someone created a GIF online of all his dives where he just keeps rolling around the ice, the Mike Richards one as a King is on there where he held onto Richards' stick and went ass over tea kettle for about a third of Vancouvers defensive zone, Richards was long gone and getting back into the play. Classic Kesler.

Jill shuffling the deck chairs in practice today, very likely we see this set up tomorrow:

40/11/9
22/55/14
96/24/12
39/15/10

Kuzmenko has also been replaced by Perry on PP1 and bumped to PP2.

Dude has been a non factor most of the season, expected more from him especially being the de facto LW1 since he essentially arrived last season at the TDL. But he does have a tendency to tail off in year two of any spot he has landed which we talked about.

Hopefully this gets him going, as well as Dunno and Moore. Need a lot more offense out of this group overall.

And the real mind boggler, Jill reverted back to the initial D pairings to start the season, Dummy and Peepee are back together as D3 and Anderson is back with Doughty as D1

I'm OK with the offensive changes, the defensive changes, yikes. The Peepee shit show could be back in full effect.

Had to find it, got it wrong - was in Kings defensive zone - but also the infamous Doughty jerk jerk motion towards Kesler. Hilarious.

Thats a wild article. So much to take out of that.
First, I didnt know there was such a thing as to tip the staff. Also, hats off to Blake to make sure he paid all of his debts etc before releasing or trading him.
Its so interesting how much goes on behind the scenes that we fans dont know a thing about. I have always wanted to be a fly on the wall to know whats going on with the players as well as what the GM's do.
In regards to gambling, its crazy to think how people get so wrapped up in it. I was never a big fan of it because my frame of mind is that I work too hard for me to piss it away. I guess the difference is that I assume I will lose it as addicts feel like they are close to winning it back.

I know its not entirely true, but I look at Kaliev much like Vishnovsky. They seem very quiet and definately not aggressive on the ice, but one hit his wife and the other threatening his girlfriend. We see someone Stu Grimson who was a fighter but seems so laid back off of the ice and then the opposite being true with these guys who go after women. Very disapointing and the word character or lack there of comes to mind.

I hated everyone on those Canucks teams. You forget aside from Kessler, there was Lapierre, Burrows, Jannik Hansen, and just a whole team of clowns. Led by the gum chewer himself, Alain Vigneault. If you go watch Kings/Canucks Game 1 2012, first shift, two guys run Doughty. It was the same with the Blues the next series. They would get out of their own rhythm trying to out of their way to hit someone or start something. Finishing your checks is important, and I am not saying that at all, but you can see these teams were making it their whole gameplan and forgot to just go play hockey. Was talking to a buddy while watching the Dodgers and how stressful those games were. I was trying to think how the Kings 2012 run, aside from maybe dropping 2 games to the Devils in the finals, was so stress-free. Every series they were up 3-0, which is already unreal, but then the one series that even got to 3-2, they came home and it was 3-0 after the 1st period, and 6-1 at the final whistle. So just stress-free.

Those Canucks teams were good, but once Boston took their souls in the finals, they were the President's Trophy winners, and the Kings came in and finished them off.

I agree to a degree, but keep in mind those Canucks teams made a living off easy points from crappy Edmonton, Colorado, Wild and Flames teams before the divisional realignment.

When they played non divisional teams or some teams from the East they weren't as good. Soft as dirt too which is why they couldn't succeed in the POs.

This is true. They had the worst teams for a long time, including those absolutely trash Avalanche teams. I do remember them stacking points off bad competition. I'll say, Kings were a beast of a team, but they also got super lucky that Daniel Sedin didn't play until Game 4, and who knows at what percentage he was. Kings maybe still win, but I don't think they drub them in 5 games.

But fast forward to 2014, and every single game was stressful. 7 elimination games. 3 road game 7's. The entire Chicago series was stressful.

Kind of funny but I had less confidence in R1 and R2, especially R1 against SJ, than I did in R3 against Chicago. For some reason I just knew they would win that series whether it was 4 games or 7. The first two rounds I was on nails but against Chicago way more relaxed. I think it was because Chicago tooled them in 2013 and I had a feeling the Kings would gut that one out and they did.

Once they won and I saw NYR was the opponent, I also knew it was Cup nunber two. Nothing the East had to offer could have competed with LA or Chicago that season, that really was the SCF. Epic series and it's a bummer someone had to lose but happy it wasn't LA.

Nowadays we're begging for a R1 win. Pathetic.

Carlsson with a monster night in a 4-3 OT win against Vegas. This season in 14 games he has 23 points (8G/15A). Dude is 20.

Meanwhile we're still waiting for Buster patiently. Freaking joke at $6.25 million. Good job Blake.

Yea, but he can really give Modry a good competition

Good old J Blow, he was an AC for Ontario around 2018 - typical Kings fashion, the nepotism jobs - then left for Europe and.was hired to be an AC for the Springfield Thunderbirds in summer 2024 (Blues AHL affiliate).

Hope he teaches them how NOT to play defense, decades later I still can't stand that guy.
