Ok so I want to catch at least some of the playoffs and see some Kings games.
My only Choice seems to be HBOMax. The issues is that I really can find a free offer that would last through the entire playoffs. Because I have no intention of keeping it. So is paying $11 per month worth having it for the postseason?

Scroll through this thread (I think) and look for the Fire Stick jailbreak discussion from the fall. I was able to watch every NY Giants game, regardless of network, for free all season.

I got YTTV and Sunday Ticket two years ago and it ended up costing me double ($600+) what it normally was when Sunday Ticket was exclusively with DTV. That just pissed me off so I don't feel bad about what I've done. These companies hose us, hose them back.

Last year I went to the bar to watch the Giants games I wanted to but then you end up spending more money on food and drinks over the season than you would have if you just paid for the seasonal subscription and stayed home. That wasn't worth it either.

Enter the Fire Stick, the GF set everything up and you can literally catch any sport anywhere any channel on SportsX. All instructions are in the thread, all you need is a VPN and a Fire Stick. I have ipVanish and it's $50 for two years.

Full investment for every sport every season: roughly $100. Well worth it and.if you get the right apps you can watch movies, shows, etc. I watched Project Hail Mary the day after it came out without spending a fortune at the movie theater.

I mean. I have HBO and it's fine. I just hate how all the streaming networks just raise their prices like a dollar or two every year. They have been pretty on it with TNT and TBS etc., which I liked the NCAA basketball tournament. If you're into shows, they have some big productions too. Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon type stuff.

It's weird that so many games will be on HBO though.

The whole games on HBO is definitely strange but I have Max as well. The Fire Stick solves all that, the only drawback to it is sometimes the feed gets choppy and you'll have to check out different ones until you lock onto one that is clean.

And that is exactly why IDGAF about the jail break, all my streaming services have increased in just the last 6 months alone.

Netflix just upped their family plan to $24.99 within the last year and just two weeks ago I get the "we've changed our terms" email advising me it's going up to $27.99 soon. I'd cancel but the kids access it when they are at their mother's houses in AZ and here so I keep it for them.

Max, Paramount, Netflix, even my SiriusXM all added $1-2 to their monthly fees the last year. On top of that I still have the mid level DTV package (of those I'd probably cancel Paramount, I don't really watch it anymore after I binged Ray Donovan and Mobland last year. I'll just renew if S2 of Mobland comes out).

When is enough enough for these companies?

I'm already getting clowned on Kings Avs, was putting the trash bins back yesterday and my neighbor who likes all sports overall, isn't really a hockey fan but likes the Kings says "so the Avalanche eh? That doesn't sound good"...

We talked for a brief moment and I explained the points system and how LA Hillered their way in and said LA may win a game but most likely out in 5 tops.

Tkatchuk fight vs Staal 3 seconds into this Ottawa/Carolina game. Maybe we should create a Playoff thread.
