SJ too, that #2 pick wont be Buster and they got some good Fs already. If smart they still take Stenberg even tho they really need D or at the least they trade down a few and get asset to do that.....imo the only mistake would be grabbing D with the 2nd pick (even tho there is potentially really good ones)

It'll be McKenna or Stenberg, picks 3-8 are basically weighted the same.

I still say BPA no matter what, teams can trade those players later if they don't fit in for what you actually need when the time comes.

If you draft for need, barring some generational talent, you're an idiot franchise (hello Kings).

Ducks 0-4 on the PP after the first period alone, unreal. Vegas just kept taking penalty after penalty, Ducks had two 5v3s but one was :04 and the other was extended and they didn't even get a SOG.

Terry came right down Main Street and opted to pass, both these situations are very Kingy.

Vegas lucky it isn't 3-0 off those PPs alone, still 0-0 with second starting.
Yeah, not sure what he was thinking. they were looking for the perfect play on the 5v3. Looked like the Kings.

Flyers toast, Canes headed to ECF with a 3-0 series lead. But the Flyers have some good, young talent, another team to keep an eye on.

Man it's depressing watching all these young teams in the POs still in Anaheim, Buffalo, Philadelphia holding their own and these head cases can't get past April 30th.

Ducks down 5-0 at home to Vegas. Marner hat trick. Vegas got William Karlsson back this series for first time in 6 months, but Stone looked like he got hurt on non-contact leg. Never a good sign.

Looked like his groin, was just skating back through the NZ. Just like the Jeannot injury, non contact and that dude missed the rest of the season including POs.

Dallas had significant injuries to their entire team basically during the season and in the POs. Rantanen was playing on a torn MCL sustained in the Olympics and Heiskanen had the same oblique tear Buster had:

That's quite the infirmary list.

Canes sweep the Flyers with a 3-2 OT win.

They're 8-0 heading to the ECF and will await the winner of Buffalo Montreal but I think this series was a little harder than the 4-0 sweep indicates, two OT games and two decisive wins.

Flyers have talent and more importantly good coaching, they should be a solid team not too long from now. There was a difference between this sweep and the Kings being swept IMO.

Cra,y stat, until Hertl scored against Anaheim on Sunday he had gone 30 games without a goal. Dude scored 24 this year and 32 just two seasons ago. Always seemed to kill LA when he was a Shark.

Nutty considering he makes a living going to the net, that 30 games is worse than any goalless stretch Buster has had which I didn't think was surpassable. Buster has reached 20+ games without goals a few times.

Now with Stone out he will need to step up, maybe this goal was the one to open the gates up.

Am I the only one that is pulling for the Dux in this series??
I have come to realize that I still dont like the Dux but have come to dislike VGK more. I espeically cant stand Stone.
They are not the Dux of Perry Getzlaf etc. of whom I couldnt stand.
The disdane for VGK is mostly that I dont like how the NHL wanted to make all of the new expansion teams competitive right out of the gate and didnt have to deal with losing like everyone else. I get it that its not the new teams fault but just how I see it.

I have no dog on this fight, all I know is one of my hated teams will be out. My list was Edmonton, Vegas, Anaheim, Habs. No particular order.

I am happy Anaheim got to get this far, they have accomplished more in 6 weeks than LA has in 6 years. Have to credit them for that and I think it'll be a healthy combative thing with LA soon.

Maybe it pushes LA to do better.

I should hate Vegas more than anyone, Northern Nevada hates Southern Nevada in so many ways. The rivalry (well not really one), The blasphemous name weather or not stolen from the Army Golden Knights, The way they didnt **** up their expansion draft, Not being afraid to replace a coach or player no matter how successful they were in the past, using any loophole they can find to stay on top, making every game fun to be at live...total blast for the fans, not being satisfied with mediocrity...im more jealous thsn anything and want that to be successful and copied

You may have something there. Maybe a big part of my dislike comes down to jealousy on how they have been good from day one and how they are ruthless on how they run things. I thought players wouldnt want to go there after the way they handled (I believe Fluery) and some others but that doesnt seem to be the case at all.

My first thing is always for Canadian teams get run out of the playoffs. Then, I start to root against certain teams.
From that list Habs need to be out then VGK then Dux. Either way, neither of them is getting past CO.

I admire how Vegas operates, they want to win and win only. Oh you love Shea Theodore, your favorite player? Bye, we just traded him for McJesus. Go sell your jersey on eBay.

Instead we are stuck with the clown show nepotism club of Bowlby, Emerson, Yanetti, etc. Let's go blow another draft yeah?

Mired in mediocrity and nothing will change until this FO is gone.

Vegas fined $100000 and a second round pick for team and coach not talking to media. When the media asked for a response to that, organization responded by not talking to media

Sabers out, gave it a good run. Accomplished more in one PO season after missing for 15 years than LA has in the laat five years.

Was hoping the Habs would leave but no. Need Colorado and Carolina to win their respective conference finals.

Almost went chalk with all Division Winners. Buffalo was the only loss. Carolina is going to have something like 12 off between their series win and Game 1 against Montreal.
