So on point about Jimmy G. That was my point, all these "experts" taking the lazy way out instead of actually looking at the QB, the scheme and what the Steelers already have.
Hell if they were going to have Jimmy G and Mason Rudolph on the roster they better hire the "king of check downs", Alex Smith as the QB coach or offensive coordinator.

Probably would work but both involved would have to be willing. Both will need new titles and a salary bump which shouldn’t be an issue if Colbert is off the books.
Split his salary between the two if they are willing.

Steelers never had an actual GM until Colbert anyway. And he spent quite a few years doing the job until they even gave him that title.

Steelers aren't even trying to hide it. They are pushing hard to make a move for a QB in this draft.

I'd rather have Linderbaum or Kenyon Green before him, but Zion would be a great IOL get in the 2nd or 3rd.

  • Zion Johnson | Boston College
    • Height: 6’2 3/4″
    • Weight: 314
    • Wingspan: 82 7/8″
    • Arm: 33 7/8″

While we need a QB and need a Buck ILB... If they spend the first two picks on those positions this year, and fill the OL with 3rd and lower and FA's like they did last year, I will be very sad.

If they can lure Munchak back, before FA starts, I might feel better about it. Toss that beautiful man whatever he needs. Give him Assistant HC.

as long as its addressed. Im ok. They have cap space. So they can sign a guy or two in FA. Really I think we need 2 lineman...and can plug 3 holes with what we have. If we get more than 2, all the better. Thoughts? Obv Im biased, we all are, but I'd love pickett here. I obv hope he's good, but hard not to root for that.

My thoughts are that I'm not sold on this QB class at all.

Maybe some of them pan out, but it's absolutely a down year on the surface.

The lack of a big name at QB is going to mean talent leaves. JuJu said as much himself. So I can understand that it needs to be addressed and we can't (and they will refuse to) just go into a year with Mason or Haskins and suck it up.

There are some really good names on the OL in FA, and if they aren't going to fix it early in the draft, they need to make a splash. The season is over before it starts if they don't completely reimagine this OL.

Talked about it a few times, but I’m afraid this team is feeling the pressure of rushing to find the next QB because of how solid the rest of the AFC is.

I will be onboard with whatever they do in the 1st so long as they go ALL IN on the OL in FA.
