Odd... @SteelersPride just posted a quote from PFF yesterday that was slamming the Pickett pick because his "average time to throw" is the worst of his class. Now PFF is saying PIT had the best draft mainly because of Pickett's value?

That was a dumb criticism from PFF. Ben at his best always held on to the ball forever. Because he was making plays with his feet and analyzing the field for guys getting open.

Ben at his worst was getting the ball out faster than anyone.

Guys who force throws to their first read no matter what (cough*Willis) have low 'average time to throw'.

Yep. This was the point I was trying to make too. Whoever at PFF thought that definitely had a glass half-empty outlook on that specific stat.

Thats ok stan savran had a whole segment on pickett today. He, like pompeani, is “questioning” the pick because other teams passed on him.
