The trade for Benson may very well be in mind of replacing Kennedy. IDK. Benson has return/ST skills and Campbell stated Kennedy was lacking in that department.

I don't think Price is being moved back to Safety anytime soon. It may happen later on in the season if he isn't grasping CB concepts.

I'd expect Holmes and company to scour waived Safeties and add to that group. I don't believe W. Harris is going anywhere soon. CJ Moore is completely unreliable as a safety, right now, and his pre-season games prove it. Moore and JRM made the 53 strictly for ST and emergency body replacement for their respective so-called positions

Lets hope so.

More than likely one of Benson or Kennedy won't be on the roster say somewhere around after Games 3-6 have been played.
Maybe.

Hopefully, Holmes can acquire a bigger bodied outside WR= for flanker - who has speed, can separate not only with speed but technique and physicality too. I would think if he can acquire that type of WR then Kennedy is waived.

As much as I would like to keep him I am hoping maybe we get 6th or 7th for Kennedy and then the trade for Benson wont seem so bad

Y'all can can that trade Taylor Decker talk. The Lions have two offensive tackles for the first time I can remember in a long time, and you guys want to tread water on the first round pick for the third consecutive year. Fuck that.

That's about as likely as me stating trading Crosby for a late 3rd to mid-4th when Crosby only had a year left on his contract. Even if Crosby was healthy, I doubt he would've garnered anything more than where he was drafted.

2016 when Riley Reiff was instantly removed from his previous 3 year run at LT position and moved to RT once Decker was drafted and in camp.
That lasted one year when Reiff said efff it during 2017 UFA and went to the Vikes to become their LT

I think he made the right call. Until last year I am not sure you can say Decker has ever been better than Reiff, so him not wanting to move to the right makes sense. I am sure Sewell bumping Decker would result in almost the exact same thing. I hope Sewell adjusts to the right side, but there is little question that if he becomes what we expect we are heading towards an issue in the future. We will be living the Orlando Brown jr crisis. Hopefully for us, when that comes let's just hope that the best team in football just lost the Super Bowl because their oline collapsed, that seems to lead to some awesome value!

Neither kicker was a concern to be signed elsewhere, and this will allow us to put players on the returnable IR without exposing them to the waiver wire. Hand and the QB will be placed soon and then the Lions will sign a kicker.

As far as Harris goes, I would have even moved Ford to Safety and kept him over Harris. Ford played better inside then outside and is a sure tackler.

Not sure what happens if we sign Ty Johnson. You are probably right that Kennedy is gone for sure.

It looks like Lions waived 5 of their initial PS signings and went TE hunting. Shane Zylstra is listed as a TE, but is only 215 pounds. Jared Pinckney seems like a decent project.
