I like what Grier and his staff have done with this draft. They have improved on both sides of the ball at key positions.

Let's go Fins!

Draft is over for the Fins - Here is the recap: Waddle, WR - 6th pick
Phillips, Edge - 18th pick
Holland, Safety - 36th overall , second round
Eichenberg, OT - 42nd overall, second round
Long, TE - 81st overall, third round
Coleman, OT, 231st overall, 7th round
Doaks, RB, 244th overall, 7th round

Questionable 1st pick and at TE for the Fins, but the rest of the picks did a good job of covering need and value.

Now that the draft is officially over lets wait and see what additions are made with UDFA's -- always some quality guys found by the Dolphins there.

Waddle will be getting open and making plays for the team. He is the reason why the Fins were comfortable trading down to 6. I like this pick a lot. Explosive plays can be the difference between winning and losing. He is capable of being a reliable slot player. The Fins need that.

The Long pick surprised me however he is a solid player who gives the team security in case Gesicki gets too expensive to keep. Interesting stat: Long had more catches for his team last year than Pitts. Long can be used as a blocker.

Can anyone tell me what happened to picks on 4th, 5th & 6th rounds? Not sure if they originally had picks in all three rounds, did they do some trades? Seems odd that you would go three rounds with no picks.

The 5th pick was traded for a 4th next year with Pittsburgh.

The 4th and 6th round picks must have been used as part of trades also. One of the picks could have been included in the trade up for OT Eichenberg.

The Fins are getting high grades from the draft nationally. It's well deserved. The Fins picked top talent at positions of need.

One of my favorite picks was Doaks. He could become just what the team needs. The Fins have quick and versatile RBs but need more yards after contact.

I am excited to see what Waddle will do.

TE Hunter could be better than expected when paired with Gesicki. He will need to learn the offense to get in the mix as part of a productive TE group.

Phillips is needed big time. The Fins need help stopping the talented QBs. He is capable of making plays in the running game also.

The Fins defense is great at causing turnovers. Holland will fit right in as a versatile playmaker.

The Fins Oline is full of talent and depth from what the team has added in recent years.

The Fins Dline didn't get any new additions but I think they will be up for the task. They are a formidable unit. They will need to be to deal with AFC East division revivals and other teams.

Typo: division rivals.

All of the AFC East teams got better. Time will tell how well the Fins match up against the other teams.

Do you know how many picks they have next year and in what round?

As expected, Trevor Lawerence to the Jags -- unfortunately, the Fins miss out on another QB of the future. Two great QBs reside on Florida teams.. but not a single one in Miami.
Your negativism is exhilarating! Welcome back!

Next years picks are basically status quo except for the extra 4th round pick. 2023 is when they have two first rounders.

I agree with the approach. The Fins didn't need a ton of picks this year or next year. They went with quality over quantity. The Fins have a competitive roster.
