Sometimes this thread reminds me of that scientific experiment where a bunch of monkeys are in a room strewn with empty boxes with a banana hung from the ceiling. Will the monkeys figure it out?

The second round could be a good place to get a Safety or ILB too.

I want them to go BPA at a position of need in the first. So my wants will depend on how the top 10 unfolds. Micah Parsons could be a good one (ILB) there at #9. Short of, say, Sewell or Slater somehow being there at #9 I think the talent falls really well for us to get a long term impact starter at the RT position with our 2nd pick though.

I love Stink, but he kinda contradicts himself when talking about competing with the chargers. Herbert has literally changed the face of that franchise. Much in the same way Mahommes did, that’s why getting a franchise qb is the single most important thing a team can do

Herbert is good, but he ain't no Mahomes - and last I looked he lost to Lock and the Broncos.

Paton could still add picks 2-4 range and bolster roster if we vaulted up to 4. Paton comes from a team that adds picks like no other. We are in position to make a move if you like a guy go get him.

Like Scott , the crazy one says, no one is Mahommes. But Herbert certainly looks the part of a franchise qb. He is better than Lock by a huge margin. And all I’m saying is we have a decent foundation to compete. This year, if we can muster some consistency from the qb position. Lock was hurt by drops from our wr, I’ll give you that. However he was also helped a lot by drops from opposing db’, especially in the red zone

Yall know our leading receiver, Tim Patrick had 0 drops on 74 targets last year?
Let’s give him a standing ovation. OC has had like 3 this month.

You know there is more than one Scott in this forum. I am not defending Lock so much as pointing out the passing is always greener on the other side of the field.

Yes, that’s why I clarified it as the crazy one. You are the OG one

I don’t want to start 0-3 again that’s my concern.
