id prob. go something like:

1. Jordan
2. LeBron
3. Magic
4. Kareem
5. Bird
6. Wilt
7. Kobe
8. Duncan
9. Shaq
10. Russell
Switch 3 and 4.

Love Magic.

But, KAJ's longevity gives him the nod.

I only recently, grudgingly, dropped him behind Bron.

Bron's numbers at his age are just undeniable.

If he wins one more, I might actually have to consider.....

Nah.

Not even then.

Oh, but you are considering it!

Grudgingly though it may be.

I think LeBron is officially on the backslide, but if he can somehow continue playing at a high enough level to get 1 more, that puts him 1 ring behind MJ.

Have to at least think about it!

who is the highest ranked player on that "all time" list still playing?

I would go
1. LeBron (obvious)
2. Durant
3. Curry
4. CP3
5. Kawhi or Harden at #5? Prob. Kawhi right?

Come on man! How can you have Steph ranked # 3 when you've said multiple times he's the overrated league MVP of all time?

Do you still think LeBron's legacy is "ruined" because he didn't drag an injured Lakers team to the playoff his first year in Los Angeles?

And exactly which year will the Cavs turn things around before the Heat?

I mean I have Bron at 2 lol. That says a lot but seriously if he can somehow get 2 more rings and tie MJ…it’s over imo. Like you said, If he gets one more, keeps playing at a high level and plays for a longtime also very possible he can pass MJ. Same as above and no more rings, probably not. There is always going to be a debate though only way there isn’t a debate is if Bron goes ham for another 3-4 years and gets like 3 titles. That would be crazy but not likely. You never know if this trio somehow is insane though, I just think the older supporting cast won’t be enough for a run like that.

I am.

But, it hurts...lol
Yeah, that would be tough to shrug off.

I used to say Jordan = Montana and LeBron = Brady because of their Finals/ Super Bowl records.

Truth of the matter is, Brady is the GOAT.

No matter how many he lost, he still won more.

ETA: Before some.Celtics stan asks, no.

That doesn't make Russell the GOAT.

Championships are the deciding factor when everything else is equal.

Bill is the greatest WINNER, not the greatest PLAYER.

It's definitely a bit of a risk, but I get what they're trying to do. The idea seems to be that if they can keep everyone relatively healthy, they can keep everyone's minutes down and get to the playoffs rested and healthy. Basically, it's gambling that these older players still have something left and that with a roster this deep...they can make what they have left, last a full season.

I like pretty much everything they have done with the roster...but age and injury are going to be something to watch out for and they and they already have Ariza out.

I haven’t seen him play much just some highlights. Is he playing the 3? If he is good call on that. Like I said he’s been very, very impressive.

He plays the 4 primarily. A big that can switch on a guard and play lockdown. Haven’t seen him play the 3. I have seen him play the 5 some

So what is Wiggy talkin about lol

So wiggy lied?

As I recall from the conversation at the time. It's not that the Cavs would start Mobley and play him at the 3 most of the game...it's that he's athletic enough and smart enough that you can put him there for short stretches and defensively, he can switch on to a 3 and not get burned. Similar to AD.

I don't recall Wiggy saying he could play the 3 full time or even for long stretches.

That sounds fair and he can do that. Like I said earlier, he can even switch onto guards and guard them on the perimeter if he needs to at times.

According to BB Ref, Mobley's minutes distribution is 34% at SF, 44% at PF, 22% at Center.
More lopsided than I imagined but wonder how accurate that position distribution is. BB Ref has some very weird position descriptions sometimes. For example, Markkannen has started at the SF position in his 8 games but he is listed as PF

Seems like we are almost positionless when all 3 bigs play but he or LM would usually be the 3 on O and D.
