Clowney been delusional about his value the last few years IDK if he really likes being a football player. He does want the money that being a player brings unfortunately he has actually cost himself money by asking for more then his market value.
Yeah he’s been questioned about his work ethic in the past. I would take a durable guy like Justin Houston, even at his age, over a guy that might give 70% instead of 100%...plus that injury history.

Bills have been quietly signing cheap depth, with Forrest Lamp being the latest. I remember there being solid hype around him at draft time, hopefully he can keep healthy and push the starters for PT. 1 year prove-it deal, so success may price him off the roster next season.

I was about to make an inappropriate joke, but held back.

Not directed at you, at OBJ lol.

Oh my bad. All I can say about OBJ is I think his hair dye has seeped into his brain. Didn't he get barred from all things LSU for like a decade for handing out cash to players after the Tigers won the national title?

Do the Browns play a 4-3?

JD is disruptive, but he's (strangely) turned out to be more effective as a run defender in the NFL. His main attribute in the pass rush is drawing away OL's, to open up gaps for others.

They play a 4-2-5 base with 3 safeties. The thing about Clowney is he was still creating a ton of pressure just not getting those sack numbers like always. I agree his best attribute is his run defense that’s why I think they can use Garrett and Taak McKinley on the outside at times and use Billings, Richardson or Jackson alongside Clowney on the inside. They can get creative with him but it would be a huge pickup bc they need one more guy on that DL to soldify it this year

They played a 4-2-5 67% of the time.
4-3-4 25%

Clowney actually played WLB in the 3-4 in Houston, after being a 4-3 DE at USC, but would still line up at DE as edge rusher. I never thought the 3-4 was a good fit for him, though he was unusually athletic enough for his size do to ok in pass coverage. I think putting him opposite Miles (or even have them stunt and line up on the same side at DT/DL, in some situations) will be effective, if JD is healthy.
