And no, Trevor Lawrence isn't getting to 12 in any dynasty I'll be involved in,, whether there are Clemson fans involved or not.

I'm looking at him as an Andrew Luck/Peyton Manning like prospect and I don't see anything wrong with someone taking him #1 overall in a 1QB rookie draft he's as close to a sure thing as it gets, plus this is a rather weak RB class IMO

Per Fantasy Pros' early rankings, here are the rookie rankings broken down by position:

Can't say that I've seen Ingram II in a rookie list in quite some time...wonder if he'll have a nice, yet unspectacular, career??
DeSean Jackson as a rookie?

Hell, I was planning to take Burrow in the 1.07-1.10 range last yr, and I'm notoriously a rookie QB hater, and a late QB drafter in general

Would gladly grab Lawrence around the 1.05-1.07 range if QB is a need unless something wild happens to RB landing spots on draft day

I might actually use some picks this year! I say that now but they always burn a hold in my pocket.

He would be a good fit for what the Seahawks like in a RB. Solid size, punishing runner that doesn't go down easy. Was watching some film on him on The Seahawks Draft Blog. They like the fit for the Seahawks.

If they end up selecting a day 3 back I think Jermar Jefferson from Oregon State would be a good fit in Seattle. He's a slightly smaller but I think faster version of Jordan Howard. He takes good angles, likes contact, and always falls forward.

I’ll have to check him out.

I feel like RBs that are underrated on that list are Sermon and Felton. Guy that isn't even on the list that should be is Chris Evans. I love that he is off the radar. I'll be able to sneak him onto even the deepest of rosters. There doesn't look like much for TE's this year after the big 2. WRs are again deep and its going to be landing spot that boosts the 20th name on list to top 5.

Question
I heard 2021 is not as deep at RB. Comparing it to 2020 which was deeper at RB.
If both conditions are true, not many rookie RB made much of a dent last season, so why should i be more optimistic about the 21 draft class?

You shouldn't be other than the top 3.

I certainly won't try to improve your outlook on this year's class, as I totally agree that it's paper thin and very top heavy. That doesn't mean there isn't potential gems to find, there's always someone that everyone misses, but, as far as obvious choices to have impacts, there are 3, and even that third one is questionable as he has plenty of doubters. I have zero faith in anyone past the top 3, and consider all of them to be total shots in the dark at this point.

I will say that the 2020 class underwhelmed almost exclusively because of landing spots and situations, none of them were "handed" the job as guys like Zeke, Fournette, Barkley, etcc..were.

Jonathon Taylor had to prove himself behind Mack and Hines...balled out at the end.
Akers had to prove himself behind a plethora of dudes, balled out at the end
D. Swift had to prove himself behind K. Johnson and AP, balled out at the end.
Dobbins, stuck behind Ingram and Gus, flashed down the stretch, has yet to be given a real chance to shine, but 160 and 2 scores week 17
CEH-well, we all know my thoughts on him..a poser in the first round, the only guy of the "big five" to go to a spot where he's handed the job...flashed, but just isn't that guy, the Chiefs miffed that pick. Maybe not a bust, but they could've had any if the other guys and done better.

you shouldnt. But im with @TREFF this whole "this class is worse" when it comes to Rb's is hogwash, theres some good runners in there, plus im generally in camp "Rb dont matter" with the exception of a few, basic skillsets and situations matter. Wont shock me to have this class outperform last years.

That's actually not with me :) I do think the class of 21 is largely hogwash :). Not void of talent by any means, but not much that will be meaningful in fantasy. Better real football players filling roles on teams than fantasy assets
