Right!

I really don't know how to grade this draft. I'm not sure how I feel about RB at 24. I'm more pro early-RB than most but that's always qualified with "if you're a good team picking later in the 1st and that's a piece to put you over the top". The Steelers seem to think this puts them over the top. I hope so. Because the rest of the world has already written them off.

Harris is going to be good. My only worries revolve around of OL holding him back. I think a lot of the success of this draft will hinge on their two OL picks in the 3rd and 4th. We need that center to win a job this year and that OT to push for a job late-season/next year. If that happens I'm more than happy.
Steelers and Patriots and Green Bay

Been good for decades, and everyone keeps falling all over themselves the last few years predicting they are finally going to fall off and another team is going to take over.

The thing they all have in common though is top-end QB play. I wonder how much stability that the Steelers have enjoyed has been organizational and how much has been Ben. Obviously, it's a combination of both, but it will be interesting to see how the Steelers (and Patriots and Packers) navigate the league without HOF quarterback play.

Both. But we did have stability prior to ben, we were winning, just never got it done.

Right. And that stability is probably a good bit of the difference between the careers of Ben and say Rivers. Or even Stafford.
Oh hell yeah.
Ill say eli is clutch , and a good qb.

but easily for me

ben
Rivers
And thts closer than i wanna admit.

eli

Stafford is a guy that i think has been utterly wasted. I think if he was not in detroit, hed be thought of as a lock HOF.
I know thats crazy. But i think he has unreal talent and a great head on him.

I agree 100% with everything you have here. Interesting to see if Stafford can have a late-career surge with the Rams.

No need. Ben is going to play forever. Don't ruin this for me. Let me be.
Just preparing our minds if things go south like everyone outside of Steelers Nation is predicting...

Preferably Ben will have a down year for production if they can get going a run game that actually works.

Ben should be throwing occasional out routes and bombs to keep the defense honest for Najee.

No more two-yard curls.

Curls & bubble screens at the LOS... The 2 worst plays that have plagued this offense for the last 2-4 years.

Call me crazy but I think the Steelers poached the best UDFA CBs that were still available.

Shakur Brown & Mark Gilbert look like studs

they do. Gilbert is really hard to say, he hasnt played in a while, and multiple multiple surgeries. Hence why he was an UDFA
