Agreed, but i wanted to set up this thread beforehand instead of at that time. Then again, we won't ever know if someone is released early in order to find work elsewhere. It does happen from time to time.

There's some truth to that, picking just anyone up for depth is unwise. I remember fans thinking we could fix EJ Biggers.
I'm still curious about KJ Wright.

I have been on the KJ Wright bandwagon since the start of training camp. He would be a great addition to the starting lineup.

i dont want to pay a lot for a stop gap . at age 32 you have to think his price tag is too high

That wouldn't surprise me, but overall I think it turned out pretty good considering it started as a clownshow.

Davis is not a bust, way too early but he is clearly not anywhere near a finished product. Holcomb also still learning and developing. A savy vet like Wright coupled with intriguing talent like Davis and Holcomb, win-win for our defense. Besides, there are a few guys getting paid this year on 1 year deals or the last of their current deal. ADD WRIGHT NOW!!!
Defensively our front is stellar, our back end is solid with Collins returning to forum, Curl stepping up, McCain in house, WJIII, St. Juste, Moreland & Fuller. We could use help at LB to make this defense what it can be, the #1 defense in the NFL.
