I have increasing confidence that there will be a full 16 game regular season. I am not sure fans will be able to attend all of them, but even WA's reopening plan (and we are probably one of the most restrictive states right now) says that in Phase 4 there can be large sporting events. I don't think we will begin Phase 4 in mid-July as advertised, but we should hit it soon enough after that fans in theory could be attending games. And there doesn't seem to be any good reason to my why you can't have games at the beginning of the season w/o fans like it appears we will do with MLB.
Yeah, no idea what is really going to happen, but all I'm saying is my confidence level right now is quite a bit higher than it was a few weeks ago. We are gonna have some sort of MLB season starting in July it appears, so if that goes well then it sets the stage for other leagues.
It's a near certainty the Ms will make the playoffs this year. Fans can't go see it, crazy pandeminc-shortened season, the year right after Felix leaves....book it. Nothing would be more Mariners than that.As a Mariner fan, I'm not sure what this feeling of excitement for baseball in July is. March and April yes, but July, that just doesn't feel right.
I really like this schedule. The AFCN looks ridiculously easy now and we only have 3 away games after November 15. An epic showdown with SF to end the season as a cherry on top. Half of our away games start at 10am though.
